I know a lot of new business owners are spending time agonizing over branding: how to pick a visual aesthetic to properly communicate the essence of your business and offers.
So, to help you out with your decision-making process plus make it more fun and empowered, I brought on an awesome designer, Pam Partington, to teach us about color theory.

This is one of the questions I get asked the most. Here are my guidelines for deciding what to share and what to keep private. And, no, only sharing what's "professional" is not one of my guidelines.

As Valentine’s Day draws near and our digital spaces are flooded with imagery and messaging about cis-hetero couples, I wanted to share some thoughts on how businesses can be more inclusive in their marketing.
Joining me for this discussion is Renae Johnson, founder, CEO, & Clinical Supervisor of Open Space Therapy Collective, a hub for queer and trans therapy based in California. As a licensed therapist, Renae is just a wealth of information about how messaging affects people’s mental health.

#5 Anxious People Are Creative People
Sunday Jan 22, 2023
Sunday Jan 22, 2023
When people ask me how to fix their marketing, anxiety is usually at the root of the problem.
Lucky for you, as someone who struggles with anxiety disorders and has been a celebrated marketer since 2015 or so… I have quite a bit of practice in working with - not against - anxiety to create irresistible marketing. And I have a different way of viewing anxiety that has helped me to channel nervous energy into creativity and release my shame about my mental health. In this episode, I share how I've learned to compost my anxiety into marketing creativity.
If you’d like some fun, specific tools for composting your anxiety into marketing creativity- come to the Marketing Witchery Workshop on Monday, Jan. 23. If you’d like to work with me 1:1 as your own, personal Marketing Confidence Cheerleader you can sign up for a Season of Support here.

How sexy are you "allowed" to be in your business marketing? Can sexiness and professionalism coexist? F yeah, they can!
In this episode, I talk with my Business Coach & sexiness in marketing inspiration Cera Byer all about it. We cover:
How empowering it is to redefine "professionalism" for yourself
Why service providers need to show what it's really like to work with and be in community with them
Why your sexiness scaring some potential clients away is actually a good thing
How to handle haters & pushback
Why you can't control how others perceive you anyway
In fact, we couldn't fit all the nuances of this topic into one episode so I am actually planning on doing a series of Sexiness in Marketing. If you'd like to suggest a topic or a guest, email me at isa@misamessaging.com
